More About Woodbury Community Ambulance

Before 1973 volunteers were required to have the most basic first aid skill's, today most of our volunteer members are NYS certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT's), who's skills and knowlege are re-certified every three years with their training course being over 150 hours of classroom instruction and field training.

In addition WCA works very close handed with Woodbury Police, Woodbury Fire and our Neighboring communities emergency services, and Advanced Life Support Services (ALS).

All calls for WCA are dispatched by Woodbury Police Departments Communications Center, and is supported by Orange County's state-of-the-art 911 Center in Goshen, NY.

Today WCA remains committed to serving our neighbors, friends and the families of the community. WCA is only one of a hanful of Ambulance agencies in Orange County, NY that remains 100% volunteer.
